Southern United thanks Kris Ridley as he steps down as Head Coach

Southern United announces that Women's Head Coach Kris Ridley has stepped down from his role to take on the Dunedin City Royals WSIL Head Coach position.

Kris has been an integral part of Southern United over the past three seasons, leading the team to significant achievements, including a second-place finish in the National League in 2023. His dedication, leadership, and passion for the game have had a lasting impact on the team and the wider football community.

Reflecting on his time with Southern United, Ridley said "It has been an honour and privilege to work with a talented and dedicated team both on and off the pitch over the last three years. Given the roles I currently have, I thought it best at this time to stand down to avoid any perceived conflicts."

Southern United would like to express its sincere gratitude to Kris for his contributions and commitment to the club. We wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter with the Dunedin City Royals.
