Southern Football - Girls and Women's Month 2023

Southern Football and NZ Football's "Girls & Women’s" campaign is designed to deliver football festivals/events to aid the enrolment of girls to your club programs and for 2023 help join in the hype and excitement for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

This year the campaign will kick-off on 17th February when the Football Ferns KO against Portugal in Hamilton. This will be the opening match for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament. The campaign will run through to the end of March concluding Friday 31st March.

Fern Fever

Fern fever has one goal, to celebrate female sport and the successes we are currently having! With New Zealand Hosting three women’s world cups in 2022 and 2023 what better way to celebrate than getting involved in our FERN FEVER event! Our aim is to provide participants a fun and positive experience to participate in three different sports. Students will spend time playing modified and inclusive games of each sport. There will be prizes, music, photo opportunities and local heroes down to inspire the next generation of sportswomen here in Otago

5-8 year olds
11am - 1pm

Come along and give football a go!

Players must be registered and spaces are limited.

Players turn up and play small sided games plus they can try some fun skill challenges.

All sessions are run by qualified football coordinators.
