In October each year, 16 Otago Representative teams travel to locations around the South Island for the South Island Representative Tournament. The teams comprise of males and females between the ages of 12 and 17.
This requires huge time, passion and effort from both Football South and our volunteer community to ensure the players have an excellent experience and develop as players.
To ensure the players, coaches, parents and Football South staff are well supported during this time, we would like to offer an internship for a Rep Coordinator who will take responsibility of the overall organisation of the 16 travelling teams, and of the 14th Grade Tournament in Dunedin.
This internship is a fixed term project role based in Dunedin. This position reports to the Competitions Manager, Sean Hamill and has highly functional and collaborative relationships with Football South staff and our member clubs.
- Ensuring all information is up to date, distributed to coaches, parents and players, and is stored in a single location that’s accessible online
- Planning and co-ordination of trials and travelling teams
- Responding to club, player, parent and coach queries
- Planning and co-ordination of the 14th Grade Rep Tournament in Dunedin
