GIRLS NATIONAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE 

What is the Girls National Youth Development League 

The Girls National Youth Development League (GNYDL) is the pinnacle youth competition in the country and has replaced Natioal Age Group Tournament in 2022.  This competition is an under-18s competition that will mirror the women's National league. 


Four federation teams that currently compete in the women's National League (Central Football, Capital Football, Canterbury United Pride and Southern United) as well as the for NRFL clubs that qualify will enter the competition. Teams will play a total of seven games starting in mid-september. 

Girls National Youth Development League 2022 l Details 

When: Training begins Beginning of August 

Commitment: Players are expected to atteend training twice a week with one game each weekend for 7 weeks. Games could be Saturday or Sunday and will involve travel. Training exceptions will be discussed with regional players. 

Who: Girls U18 (Born 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008)

Cost: TBC - expected to be between $300 - $500 per player 

Selection Process: Trials were advertised and held earlier in the year.
