ACC together with NZF have produced an Injury Prevention Programme called SoccerSmart. This programme makes sure we can get the best out of our players. You can put together your own plan by clicking on the link below.
We all know that by being fitter and stronger you can prevent injuries. Just playing is not enough, so look after yourself.

The 11+ is a complete warm up programme designed by FIFA Medical Assessment and Research Centre to prevent injuries. The programme provides a complete, football-specific warm-up and can be easily integrated into a daily training routine.
The programme is divided into three parts: it starts off with running exercises (Part 1), moves on to six exercises with increasing difficulty to improve strength, balance, muscle control and core stability (Part 2) and concludes with further running exercises (Part 3). Overall it takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
The 10 exercises fit neatly into a regular training session - after the warm-up and before the main body of the session and are suitable for players aged 14 and over. Players should be encouraged to do the exercises in their own time as well as at training. The 11th point, Fair Play, should be a priority for everyone to prevent needless injuries and maintain the spirit of the game.
