At its meeting on 5th February the FIFA Referees Committee selected referees and assistant referees for the 2010 World Cup.

On the list from New Zealand are Mike Hester and Peter O'Leary (Referees), and Jan-Henridk Hintz and Brent Best (Assistant Referees). Also selected are Matthew Taro (Solomon Islands) and Tevita Makasini (Tonga).

Invitees will be required to attend medical assessment in Switzerland from 3rd March and then a seminar in Spain from 8th-10th March.

In total some 30 Referees have been invited and some 60 Assistant Referees and the final number will depend oon the outcome of medical, fitness and other testing.
