Junior Football Ferns qualify for Under 20 World Cup in Germany

Elise Mamanu-Gray scores her second goal of the Oceania tournament as New Zealand thrashes Tonga 11-0 to qualify for the FIFA World Cup

Rosie White scored 5 goals in the rout of Tonga at North Harbour Stadium, taking her tally for the tournament to 9 and receiving the golden boot award.


The Junior Football Ferns won all three games in the Oceania Confederation tournament, scoring 27 goals and conceding none.

The Cook Island finished second in the competition, with a win, drawn and loss but a better goal differential than Tonga. Regina Mustonen scored 5 goals for the Cooks and finished equal second in the golden boot award with Hannah Wilkinson of New Zealand.
