After 6 years Otago United breaks through for a 1-0 home win over Hawkes Bay at Carisbrook in the NZFC with a Stu Kelly goal in the 39th minute

In front of a home crowd of 200 Otago United took the field against Hawkes Bay following the curtain-raiser between the Otago Highlanders and the Chiefs in a 6.00pm kick-off.

Stu Kelly made a strong start with a shot at goal after just 4 minutes, and then Otago withstood the Hawkes Bay attack until Kelly scored to make it 1-0 at half time. The score stayed that way until the final whistle.
