Northern Hearts AFC

Northern Hearts AFC was founded in 1947 and from 1982-1990 combined with Timaru City to play as South Canterbury United before reverting to Northern Hearts in 1991.

In 1996 Northern Hearts won the Southern League Division One championship, and  competed in the various Southern/Premier leagues from 1971 to 2001. The club finished in 2nd place in the 2001 Premier League.

Northern Hearts best Chatham Cup performance came in 1980 when it reached Round 5 losing 2-5 to Dunedin City.

The club is based at Initiates file downloadAorangi Park in Timaru and field men's, women's and junior teams across all levels.
