I am pleased to announce that the Football South AGM is on Sunday May 21, 2017 at 1pm at the Otago Polytechnic Function Centre, 40 Logan Park Drive, Dunedin.

There are two Board positions open for election and voted for by members at the AGM and by postal ballot. I encourage all voting members to consider if they have the necessary governance skills, business acumen and of course passion for the game, to consider nomination for election to the Board. In accordance with our rules and subject to clause 12.6, we call for nominations from members for election to the Board by Friday April 28th, 2017.
There are three Board positions open for Appointment to the Board by the Selection Committee process. In accordance with clause 12.17.1 we call for nominations to be considered by the Selection Committee by Friday April 28th, 2017.
Nominations for the positions of President and Patron of Football South are also welcome in accordance with clause 15.6 and shall be received by Friday April 28th, 2017.
In accordance with clause 9 the Appointment of Honorary Members, and also clause 10 the Appointment of Life Members, we welcome nominations by Friday 28th April 2017.
The Board will also consider any other general business by members at the AGM, but must be notified in accordance with clause 23.4 by Monday May 8th, 2017.
Following the AGM, the Board Chair and CEO shall provide an update on implementation of the Football South Strategy 2017 to 2021.
I would encourage all member club representatives to attend the AGM and take part in the elections as well as general business and presentations.
We are currently finalising the audited financial accounts with our auditor and these will be distributed with the annual report by April 28th.
